Cattle trough contaminates water supply of Redhills Road family

A West Auckland family have moved out of their rented property on Redhills Road in Massey because their water supply is being contaminated by a cattle trough in a nearby paddock.

Tenant Bart Lear made complaints to his landlord, the Hugh Green Group, who dismissed him and the Waitakere City Council.

The council ordered the landlord to disconnect the trough from the supply line but because the pipe was still infected, the problem did not clear.
