The flatmates of the man accused of killing Auckland taxi driver Hiren Mohini have revealed more details about the alleged murderer.
The three flatmates have told the New Zealand Herald how the man limped around with a badly injured leg in the days following January 31st, when Mr Mohini was stabbed to death in Mt Eden.
He claimed he had hurt himself playing basketball, but less than a week later he left the country on a one-way ticket to China.
Police didn't visit the apartment until February 19th and the flatmates say they are "shocked" their former housemate is suspected of the fatal stabbing.
