Police Hoping Bloodied Bag is Key to Solving Murder

Five days taxi driver Hiren Mohini was found slumped over the wheel of his cab in Mt Eden, police are still hunting for his killer.

More than 40 officers are now part of the investigation team and police are hoping a bloodied blue bag found near the scene can help them solve the crime.

A resident found the royal blue shoulder bag in the View Rd area on Monday night.

Detective Senior Sergeant Hywel Jones says the motive for the attack remains unclear, but police have no reason to believe it was robbery.
