Auckland's Primary Health services are set to undergo a similar shake-up to the city's council services, with some hospital services to be administered from new super-clinics.
The move is part of Health Minister Tony Ryall's plan to halve the number of Primary Health Organistaions and could see minor skin surgery, diagnostic imaging and consultations with hospital specialists offered at the "one-stop shop" clinics.
Auckland and Waitemata DHBs have been approached by the Minister and asked to reduce their services.
