FOOTBALL Auckland City Held to Draw in New Caledonia

Auckland City have blown an opportunity to move clear at the top of Group A in the O-League as they were held to a 1-1 draw by New Caledonia's AS Magenta in Noumea.

A win for City would have put them in the driver's seat, but the group has now been thrown wide open.

Waitakere United didn't get an opportunity to close the gap on Auckland - as their match against AS Manu Ura in Tahiti had to be post-poned following a week of heavy rain in Papeete which left the field too water-logged for play.
