LEAGUE Warriors Considering Sonny Bill Signing

The Warriors are discussing the possibility of bringing Sonny Bill Williams to Auckland, but CEO Wayne Scurrah says the club has no intention paying the Bulldogs $1 million for the right to sign the superstar.

The Bulldogs will only allow Williams to play for a rival club prior to 2013 if they are paid compensation, but Scurrah says the Bulldogs already received $1 million when he walked out on the club.

Scurrah has confirmed he has spoken with Warriors owner Eric Watson about signing Williams.

Scurrah has also spoken with Williams' manager Khoder Nasser and is hopeful discussions can be advanced further.
