SPCA Expected to Lay Charges Over Dog Massacre

The Auckland SPCA is likely to lay charges this week in relation to the alleged massacre of up to 33 dogs in Wellsford in January.

Chief executive Bob Kerridge told stuff.co.nz that autopsies show at least seven of the animals suffered during the shootings.

The incident was allegedly sparked when Russell Mendoza's fox terrier Otis was killed by a dog belonging to Rowan Hargreaves.
