SPCA expected to Lay Charges Over Dog Slaughter

The SPCA is expected to lay charges this week for the alleged slaughter of 33 dogs in Wellsford in January.

Autopsies revealed that seven of the dogs, in particular, went through a considerable deal of suffering and SPCA Chief executive Bob Kerridge says that there could be two or three different charges for each of the animals.

Twenty-three puppies and 10 adult dogs were allegedly shot in what the SPCA has called a 'frenzied attack' on a property near Wellsford on Monday January 25.
