CRICKET Changes to Aces Line-Up to Face Knights

The Aces have decided to rest players for today's clash against the Northern Knights in Whanagrei with Saturday's semi-final in mind.

The team has three changes from that which played out a thrilling tie against the Canterbury Wizards on Saturday with Ronnie Hira and Michael Bates both being rested, and their places being taken by Bhupinder Singh and Pieter Erasmus.

Jimmy Neesham also drops out of the squad to allow Andrew de Boorder, who has been in sparkling form in club cricket, to come in to the twelve as well.

Although the Aces are disappointed that they let one slip against the Wizards, coach Paul Strang has no concerns over where his side is at.

"We'll take it one game at a time to make sure we don't get ahead of ourselves, but at the moment we seem to have a really good formula working and if we stick to that the results will continue to come."

The team to face the Northern Knights at Cobham Oval, Whangarei is: Gareth Hopkins (Captain), Scott Styris, Andrew de Boorder, Pieter Erasmus, Bhupinder Singh, Reece Young, Tim McIntosh, Lou Vincent, Colin de Grandhomme, Lance Shaw, Ravi Bopara, Anaru Kitchen.
